SHAPA has been the UK’s leading specialist Association for the solids handling and processing industry since its formation in 1981. Our support and assistance has allowed our members to maximise their profitability, whilst taking advantage of the many benefits afforded by the Association.

Our aim is to promote the industry and provide a platform for members to network, collaborate and learn. Networking

We hold three General Meetings per year. Members have the opportunity to present at the meetings and we always invite guest speakers on topical subjects – often that have been suggested/requested by members.

AGM /Awards

The annual Solids Handling Industry Awards are held alongside the Annual General Meeting. With categories including innovation, sustainability and export, members are able to enter and showcase their products and services.

Committees / Knowledge

Our committees meet three – four times per year and it’s a chance for members to share knowledge and collectively address common goals, share experience and network with other like-minded industry professionals.

Training

SHAPA offers subsided training and workshops. Previously these have included Finance, CE Marking, ATEX & DSEAR, Marketing, Sales and more.
