The Solids Handling and Processing Association (SHAPA) celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2007 and is the voice of the industry. It is recognised as the UK's leading specialist association in its field and has grown to become the foremost authority on all matters - technical, commercial, legal and professional relating to the industry.
Conference This Knowledge Conference is being held on Monday 5th October 2009 at the centrally located Imago Holywell Park Conference Centre on the Loughborough University site in Leicestershire. The conference offers an opportunity to hear about the latest regulatory issues, their interpretation and implementation and the latest ideas and thinking on different aspects of solids handling techniques from some of the foremost authorities in their fields.
The Agenda includes Keynote Addresses by Iain Evans of the Health and Safety Executive on 'Regulation, Compliance and Enforcement Policy' and Martin Bigg from the Environment Agency on 'Better Regulation, Better Industry'. There will also be the opportunity to attend a choice of individual sessions selected from two parallel streams of presentations, one covering Commercial & Compliance topics and the other a variety of aspects of Solids Handling technologies.
In addition to the presentations there will also be the opportunity to speak with some SHAPA members who will be illustrating their company's capabilities at table top displays.
