Now used in over 30,000 applications worldwide, the GreCon spark detection system has proved to be the most effective means of extinguishing ignition sources in dust extraction ducts and bulk handling conveyors, BEFORE a fire or explosion occurs.
Ignition sources such as sparks, embers and hot particles are often generated by friction in or failure of high speed machinery, drying/roasting processes or grinding/milling/pelletising plant. The GreCon spark detection system will detect all such ignition sources entering a protected extraction duct or drop chute. The system activates a high speed, automatic response to prevent the ignition source from being transported along the conveyor towards the filter, cyclone or silo.
Extinguishing of isolated sparks can take place without interrupting production.
